In the heart of Vidarbha, FarmLink is bridging the gap between farmers and urban retailers. Founded in 2022 by agripreneurs Anjali Deshmukh and Ravi Tiwari, the startup connects 500+ farmers from nearby districts like Katol and Umred to restaurants, grocery chains, and online stores in Nagpur.
FarmLink operates through a simple app where farmers list their produce, and buyers can place bulk orders directly. The company handles logistics, ensuring that fresh, local produce reaches the city within 24 hours. This direct-to-market model helps farmers earn up to 40% higher profits compared to traditional mandis.
The startup has also partnered with local cold storage providers and MSME departments for better supply chain management. Within a year, FarmLink has processed over ₹2 crore in transactions and plans to expand to Pune and Indore next.
“Our goal is to make farming profitable again — starting with Nagpur,” says Anjali.
FarmLink is a shining example of how tech-driven solutions can empower rural India while boosting the local economy.
