Meet Rohit Khandekar, founder of StageCraft Events, a company that started with just ₹10,000 and a borrowed sound system — and today manages large corporate and wedding events across Maharashtra.

Rohit left school in class 10 due to financial struggles but had a passion for organizing community functions. In 2016, he started StageCraft with a small team of three, focusing on affordable stage setups and sound rentals. His big break came when a local college fest went viral for its creative theme, earning StageCraft its first corporate client.

Now, with an annual turnover exceeding ₹1 crore, the company has served brands like Raymond, Bank of Maharashtra, and Lokmat Media. Rohit attributes his success to street-smart marketing and strong local networking.

“I may not have a degree, but I understand people — that’s what business is,” he says.

Rohit’s story is proof that formal education isn’t the only path to entrepreneurship — determination and execution matter most.
